THE ICEBREAKER QUICKIE IN THE QUARRY - Saturday 1st March, 2014. Race start 8am.
Is an off road duathlon, set in the awesome domain of the Halswell Quarry Park. The course consists of a 2km run around Quarry Rim Track, a 5km mountain bike which sees the riders heading up the first section of Crocodile track, then on to C2 before heading up and around the Quarry Rim Track before the final transition into a 2km around the Rim Track. So we'll be making good use of the Quarry Rim Track, both for the runs and MTB but it's such a cool loop with great views and some decent uphill, be warned - it gets a little grunty!
Entries are open to individual male & female (open and vet categories 40+), and teams (mixed, all male or all female).
Icebreaker have also come to the party with heaps of awesome spot prizes.

Head in the main entrance off Kennedy's Bush Road, follow the road, past the stone cottage on your right to the main car parking area - that's where the start/finish line and transition area will be.

THE PRIZES
I'm still working on finalising the prizes, but you can be sure there will be some sweet gears from Icebreaker in the form of various Base Layers, GT tops and maybe a jacket or two for the 1st place getters! Also on board will be New York Deli with some of their Hero Cards (loaded with $$) for spot prizes, along with Cookie Time providing some delicious sustenance in the form of the One Square Meal bites for the race packs.

THE PARKING
The main car park is where the start/finish line is located, once that fills up we can spill out to the parking closer back towards Kennedy's Bush Road and if more is needed, there is plenty along the road side by the main entrance.
