It's been way too long since the last post, I'm sorry, no excuses I'm slack I admit it, I'm sorry, moving on. Just got back from a blat around Bottle Lake Forest Park, there were quite a few people out which was good to see. Those yellow lupin looking flowers in the picture sure do smell good! Although I'm sure those who suffer from hayfever won't share my enthusiasm. Might be worth taking some antihistamines prior to the race? The tracks around Bottle Lake are in fine form, there is new seal along a section of the Southern Pegasus Bay Track which alleviates some of those sink-hole like sandy patches, but there still is one doozy early on. There's also a new section of the MTB leg which wasn't in the last Quickie on the Beach, but it will be well sign posted. It's going to be a great wee track! Now, if you haven't entered for The Icebreaker Quickie on the Beach, Broadpark, Waimairi Beach on Sunday the 1st December, then get cracking and ENTER HERE.
